GalaxyDresser

Your files

Outfit meshes and textures never leave the PC that converts them

Summary

  • Conversion runs in the Warudo plugin on that PC. The browser window you drop files into is also a page on that PC, and no zip, FBX or texture is sent to the server.
  • What goes to the server is text of names and numbers, such as prefab and material settings: about 0.1–0.35 MB per conversion, almost regardless of the zip's size or how many prefabs it has.
  • Everything exchanged with the server is encrypted.
  • GalaxyDresser opens a converted outfit only on the account that converted it. Copying the folder to someone else doesn't change that.

The drop window is a page on this PC

127.0.0.1 in the address bar means “this PC”. Files dropped there go only to Warudo on this PC.

Temporary files made while converting are deleted when the job ends or is cancelled. If Warudo is closed partway through, they may remain.

The browser window is there for convenience. Inside Warudo you would have to pick each file path by hand, so the plugin opens a familiar drag-and-drop window instead.

What goes to the server, and what doesn't

Goes to the server

  • The text of the prefab and material files
  • Names and numbers such as setting values, for the outfit and your character

The prefab and material text is deleted once the assembly steps are made.

Comes back from the server

  • Assembly steps and setting values

Does not

  • BOOTH zips and unitypackage files
  • FBX files and mesh geometry
  • Texture images
  • Converted outfit files
  • Your character's meshes and textures

Sent sizes are as encrypted. This table was measured with a test character; in Warudo the character's skeleton is added, about 0.1 MB more (three products worn for real: 0.12–0.35 MB). The highest share of the zip was 4.4%, for one small 0.6 MB pair of glasses; every other product was under 0.4%. The first time you wear an outfit, about 15 KB more is sent.
